An open letter to EU President Dr Roberta Metsola

 Dear Dr Metsola,

I would like to congratulate you on your appointment as EU President. I am pleased to note that you have been and intend to continue to fight for justice and human rights. I am therefore requesting you to look into the discrimination and breach of my human and civil rights by successive Maltese Prime Ministers, Police commissioners and the justice system.

In an article published online in Lovin Malta titled “John Dalli’s 12-Point Right Of Reply To An Analysis Of His Three-Decade Affair With AllegedCorruption", as usual, Disgraced Corrupt Former EU Commissioner John Dalli resorts to lies and insults to protect his many years of corrupt practices.

From his statement, it is obvious that it was he who organised the production and distribution of the letters. I have always insisted that John Dalli colluded with the police and others to frame me to cover up his involvement in the Daewoo scandal.

In the article, he states “I am informed that the anonymous letters were printed in a stationery in Mosta and were mailed in envelopes that came from the House of Representatives. I am informed that a Nationalist MP had an accident in Floriana and the police found hundreds of these letters in his car boot.”

It wasn't just the envelopes used that came from the House of Representatives but also the 60, 000 sheets of A4 size paper used. This was confirmed by articles published in Dalli's political party newspaper and in the police investigations.

John Dalli also confirms that the anonymous letters were printed in a Mosta stationer's shop. At the time there was only one stationer in Mosta that had the equipment to print such a high volume of photostats that totalled 60, 000. That stationer belonged to another Nationalist Party MP.

On 15th November 1999 Corrupt Disgraced former EU Commissioner John Dalli had me arrested for circulating anonymous letters claiming to defame him.

On 16th November 1999 at approximately 2.00 am Mario Galea MP, was involved in a serious car accident on St Ann's Street, Floriana. The police attended and found hundreds of anonymous letters in his vehicle. The incident was captured in the USA Embassy CCTV. I was in police custody at the time.

On 17th November 1999, John Dalli had me arraigned in court and pressed criminal charges against me claiming that I had produced and distributed 20,000 anonymous letters to defame him.

Mario Galea's accident and the evidence were covered up by the then PM Dr. Eddie Fenech Adami and the police. Covering up a crime is a CRIMINAL OFFENCE.

Despite the fact that the police had confirmed that the stationery used came from parliament and that there were several different handwritings on the envelopes, none of which were mine, the police, John Dalli, and Dr. Eddie Fenech Adami failed to drop the charges against me.

After four years of criminal proceedings, I was acquitted of all the charges brought against me. For the past 22 years, I have written and published open letters to Prime Ministers and Police Commissioners. My requests have been ignored.

Disgraced Corrupt Former EU commissioner John Dalli framed me in revenge because I reported his involvement in the Daewoo scandal.

As the Maltese authorities seem to be determined not to conduct an impartial investigation into this crime I would like to ask you if it is possible to instruct OLAF to conduct an investigation. I look forward to your urgent reply.

Yours sincerely,

Joseph Ellul-Grech
